Mayor David Condon
Spokane Mayor David Condon's 100-Day Plan is a plan of actions, designed to lay the groundwork for a successful first year of office and successful four-year term. This work will help to signal the change in direction and leadership at the City approved by the City’s voters in the November election.
This plan builds on work of the Mayor's Transition Committee, a group of more than 70 community members who developed a series of recommendations for the Mayor's first 100 days and beyond. The plan also incorporates actions identified by the Mayor, the City's senior leadership, and the hundreds of public comments collected through the transition process. More opportunities within these focus areas and within other areas at the City will arise during this time, and the City will endeavor to accomplish those as well.
For the Mayor's first 100 days, the City will focus on five areas consistent with the Mayor's transition priorities:
- Public Safety: Restoring public trust in law enforcement and enhance community safety.
- Jobs & Economic Growth: Creating an atmosphere to attract and retain jobs.
- Budget: Promoting long-term fiscal health without undue burden on citizens.
- Infrastructure: Maintaining critical public infrastructure at an affordable price.
- Quality of Life: Engaging citizens and improving the quality and character of our community.
A strong finish always requires a good beginning. Mayor Condon’s 100-Day plan is that good beginning.
