Acting Division Director of Public Works and Utilities Dave Mandyke is responsible for the oversight of a division employing almost 800 people in the areas of Engineering Services, Solid Waste Management, Wastewater Management, Water and Hydroelectric Services, Street Maintenance, Capital Programs, Environmental Programs, Fleet Services, Annexation Programs, Utility Billing, Real Estate Services, and Animal Control Management. His responsibilities include the long-range planning of Public Works and Utilities projects and the funding, regulatory and environmental issues intrinsic to them. He and his team of Department Directors are committed to providing quality services to Spokane citizens through efficient operating departments.

Background: Dave has 30 years' experience in local government, including 26 years with the City of Spokane's public works programs, and extensive experience in lobbying and legislative affairs. Dave presently serves as President of the American Public Works Association, Washington State Chapter, and on the Downtown Spokane Business Improvement District Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.
