Pursuant to ADMIN 0325-10-01:

  • Section 5.1:  "All administrative policies and procedures, departmental policies and procedures, executive orders, and public rules and regulations shall be developed and maintained in a standardized fashion. This uniform system will insure compliance with federal, state and local laws, avoid the cost of errors due to incomplete or hard to find policies and procedures, and promote efficiency and effectiveness in government."

  • Section 5.5:  "Policies and procedures shall be reviewed periodically to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws."

  • Section 5.8:  "All departments subject to this policy shall by December 31, 2010, identify all existing policies, procedures, executive orders, rules and regulations and modify them to be consistent with this policy. Policies, procedures, executive orders, rules and regulations not complying with this period of time shall be no longer in effect. The Mayor/City Administrator for good cause may extend this deadline."

All new and/or updated policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and executive orders, once filed with the City Clerk’s Office, will be published to this site and in the Official Gazette.

Please note that policies and procedures specific to the City of Spokane Fire Department, Public Library, and Police Department are maintained by those departments and not included on this site.
