Join Spokane C.O.P.S. Tuesday, August 3rd to make a stand in support of our law enforcement officers and to show the criminals that we are working together. In 2009, over 6,000 Spokane citizens stepped up to this challenge!
The Spokane Police Department needs your help in preventing crime. One way is to join forces with your neighbors. Do you know them? Do you talk to them? Invite them to your own block party at this year’s National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 3rd!
This is a great way to start a BLOCK WATCH if you don’t already have one.
Here’s a chance to request special visitors from police, city officials, McGruff the Crime Dog, your C.O.P.S. shop, and more, such as Mayor Mary Verner, Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick. Call or stop by your local Spokane C.O.P.S. Substation to register your participating event. You will be asked for information including the host’s name, address and phone number, along with what kind of event (potluck, ice cream social, barbeque, etc.), and the number of people (adults and children) you anticipate.
You may also download a registration form at SpokaneCops.org
National Night Out is an extraordinary way to build neighborhood unity and strengthen community policing partnerships.
