SpokaneCity Account

Why have a SpokaneCity Account?
Having a SpokaneCity allows you to sign up for news releases and view and pay your utility bill online. This will be your passport to all the online services the City has to offer.


Before taking advantage of City of Spokane online services, you must first create a SpokaneCity Account. Creating a SpokaneCity Account is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Create a SpokaneCity Account by filling out the information on the create account page.
  2. Agree to the terms and conditions for
  3. Activate your SpokaneCity Account. After submitting your account information you will receive an email with instructions on how to activate your account. You may either click on the link to activate your account or go to the activate account page and enter your email address and the activation code given to you.


Account Navigation
You may access and login to your SpokaneCity Account from any page on any city website, using the navigation at the top right corner of the page.

What if I didn’t receive an activation email?
Check to make sure your email address was entered correctly. If it was entered correctly, go to the account activation page and another activation notice will be sent to you.

What do I do with my account activation letter?
Keep your activation letter in a safe place. This has all of your account information, including your login and password.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password you can go to the password help page, enter your email and answer your security question and your password will be emailed to you.

I keep receiving email from the City, how do I make it stop?
You can unsubscribe to email services by logging into your SpokaneCity Account, un-checking the boxes in the email services section and clicking the update account button at the bottom of the page.

How do I change my email address on my SpokaneCity Account?
Login to your account and click the edit account button in the left hand column. Type in your new email address and click the update account button at the bottom of the page.

Browser Help

Some of the items on this page aren’t displaying correctly, what’s wrong?
The approved browsers for viewing this site are AOL 6.0 or higher, Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher, Mozilla 1.5 or higher, Netscape 7.0 or higher and Opera 7.0 or higher. If you are using a browser that is not listed above, items on the page may not display correctly.

Why do some of the graphics and colors disappear when I print a page?
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Options and click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Printing section and make sure the “Print background colors and images” option is checked. In Netscape, go to File, Page Setup and check Print Background (colors & images) under the Format & Options tab.

The text on the page looks small, why?
The template was designed to have a small font size, but it will scale with larger font sizes. You can adjust your setting to increase the font size by going to View, Font Size, in Internet Explorer and by going to View, Text Zoom, in Netscape.

Search Help

The Search feature enables you to do a keyword search on all areas of the website. Results will be returned from news articles, documents, jobs, services and municipal code.

QuickNav was developed to allow you to navigate the City of Spokane's website using keywords. To use QuickNav type in a keyword and press the button to the right of the 'Find' button. If QuickNav finds more than one keyword matching your search then you will be given a list of pages matching your search.

Advanced Find allows you to specific categories by keyword.
