All City of Spokane outdoor swimming pools open for the 2005 summer season on Tuesday, June 21 at 1 PM. Shadle Indoor Pool open swim times are: Monday – Thursday, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Friday 1 – 4:30 PM and 6:30 – 8:00 PM. All of Spokane's stand alone wading pools have permanently been closed. The wade pool attached to Liberty Park's main pool will be open the same hours as the main pool. Spray pads at Mission, Chief Garry, Grant, Harmon and Nevada will all be open.

A new state-of-the-art spray pad is currently under design and construction at Shadle Park. For updates on the status on this project call the Swimming Pool Hotline at 625-6960.

Continuing the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department tradition of free swimming for youth under 18, lifeguards staff the pools during open swim times. Pools close for the season the afternoon of August 30.

For additional information on pool hours, events, learn to swim lessons, lap swim and swim scholarships call the Swimming Pool Hot Line, 625-6960.
