The City of Spokane now is accepting applications for amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a 20-year guide for Spokane’s future growth and development. The annual amendment cycle provides an opportunity to propose amendments that address changing land use conditions or emerging issues.

Applications for amendments will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 30, at 5 p.m. for consideration in the 2010 amendment cycle. Those interested in amending the Comprehensive Plan must schedule a pre-application meeting prior to filing a request for amendment.

Proposed amendments will be subject to review and a public hearing by the City’s Plan Commission before recommendations are made to the City Council.
